BVARC Museum Ships Challenge
A BVARC Club Contest
If you are going down to the KK5W operation for the Museum Ships Weekend Event on Pelican Island, then good for you and “thanks” for supporting BVARC Events.  But, if you are not going down (due to having to attend your cousins wedding or maybe even working), we have a way you can participate.
It’s called the “BVARC Museum Ships Challenge”
It’s a contest, for BVARC members only The goal is to work as many official Museum Ships as you can, on as many bands as you can, in as many modes as you can.
Top three places get a nice prize and a certificate at the July meeting.

Event:BVARC Museum Ships Challenge
Date:June 5 and 6
Time:Local -- anytime during June 5 and 6
Frequency:Any frequency band the ships are operating (160 thru 440 MHZ, WARC, too)
Mode:   Any mode that the ships are operating
Points:  All QSO’s are 1-point*(Limit one per mode per band)
(a 40 meter SSB contact =1pt; a 40 meter CW contact = 1pt; a 40 meter PSK contact =1pt)
NOTE:KK5W (The Stewart, Cavalla and Seawolf Park stations score 2 points per QSO, per mode.
Multipliers: Number of different Museum Ships that you work.
Stewart and Cavalla and the Seawolf Park station are 3 individual multipliers, so be sure to note which one you are talking to.
Score:Total points = Total Q’s x Number of different ships worked.
Rules:
1) Your contact must be with a recognized Museum Ship,as per the Museum Ships Web site www.nj2bb.org
2) You can operate KK5W and then go home and work ships and even KK5W from home in this contest – no problem.
3) Operate fixed, mobile, and/or portable – it does not matter.
4) Entry deadline is June 30, 2010
